What provider offers CPR HCP training?

All major providers, including St Mark James provide CPR HCP courses.

What is the difference between CPR HCP and CPR level “C”?

The courses are very similar, however, candidates in CPR HCP will learn circulation checks, how to use bag valve masks, how to handle suspected spinal   and more emphasis is put on two person rescues.

Is AED training included in CPR HCP?

Yes, you will receive training and certification in the use of automated external defibrillators

Is CPR level “C” included in CPR HCP?

Yes, CPR level “C”, “B” and”A” are all included in CPR HCP.

Is CPR HCP hard?

CPR HCP is not the most intensive course offered through workplace approved. It is at medium level of difficulty.

Does this course have a test?

Yes, a simple multiple choice test is included in the course. Candidates are required to pass with a grade of at least 75%. Candidates will also be tested on their skills.

How long does the course take?

CPR HCP takes approximately 5 to 6 hours to complete.

Will I learn CPR on infant victims?

Yes, CPR HCP teaches candidates to do CPR on infants, children and adult victims.

Can I recertify a previously expired CPR HCP award?

Yes, as long as you meet the prerequisites you can renew your CPR HCP award.

Can I take CPR HCP with first aid courses?

Yes, most providers offer CPR HCP with standard first aid courses and some provider include CPR HCP with emergency first aid courses.

Will I learn any first aid in this course?

Yes, candidates will learn some basic first aid including how to treat victims of cardiovascular emergencies.

How long is my certificate valid for?

A workplace approved CPR HCP certificate is valid for 3 years, however, you may be required to renew your certification at a earlier date based on employer or school policy.

Does this course meet government legislation standards?

Yes, this course does meet legislative standards as long as candidates take the course with credible providers and training partners.
